Not long after publishing and swiftly deleting a
teaser image of its racing return, British automaker TVR has just announced its
partnership with Rebellion Racing for the Le Mans 24 Hours and FIA World
Endurance Championship.
TVR will act as the main automotive partner for
Rebellion Racing with the firm’s logo incorporated into the red and black
livery of the two Oreca R-13 LMP prototypes run by the team. This is TVR’s
first official motorsport project in 13 years and comes on the back of the
revived company launching the Griffith sports car.
The carmaker asserts that its relationship with
Rebellion Racing will “flow directly into the development and production both
of its road car line-up, and into its future racing projects.”
TVR joins Gibson race engines, Motul lubricants, and
Carbon Champagne as Rebellion Racing partners for the 2018-2019 Super Season.
The TVR-sponsored Oreca will make its track debut at the WEC Prologue event at
Circuit Paul Ricard on April 6.
