Xing Mobility revealed its Miss R electric supercar last November, and now the Taipei-based electric powertrain startup has released initial testing footage of its 1,341 hp rally-inspired supercar. The prototype underwent both on-road and off-road trials on a wide variety of terrain in this round of evaluations.

The company said that the latest drivability assessments focused heavily on running the car in its off-road configuration, which enabled it to gain feedback on the supercar’s durability, handling, suspension and power-distribution in off-road mode, as well as activating its changeable tyre/fender set for the first time.

The Miss R is powered by four independent 350 volt motors, juiced by a 4116-cell, 98 module battery pack that can produce one Megawatt of power, the equivalent of 1,341 hp. Performance figures include a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 1.8 seconds and a 0-200 km/h time of 5.1 seconds, along with a top speed of over 270 km/h.

The novel Xing Battery System features immersion cooling technology, in which its stackable, LEGO-like battery modules are housed in an enclosure of non-conductive 3M Novec 7200 engineered fluid, the first application of the fluid for modularised battery cooling in electric vehicles.

The company says the the Xing Battery System is currently one of the highest power density EV battery packs on the market, offering up to 50% weight saving in comparison to industry standards. With its modular building-block design, the first battery pack has been specifically designed for low-mid volume applications. It also features fast battery swap tech – the entire battery enclosure can be exchanged within five minutes.

The Xing Mobility says the Miss R’s dual-personality setup is primed for track sprints, hill climbs, and endurance races alike.
