FAW is set to launch the new Jumpal CX65 Wagon
in China. The cross-country wagon made its official debut at the 2018 Beijing
Auto Show last month.
It is based on the new A50 sedan which was penned by
former Lamborghini designer Filippo Perini. The Jumpal CX65 wagon bears
crossover-inspired looks with black claddings along wheel arches, underside of
the bumpers and entire lower part of the car.
The CX65 wagon measures 4,596 mm in length, 1,785 mm
in width and 1,525 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. The ground
clearance is also an impressive 172 mm, which is more than the contemporary
wagons of its class, whereas the luggage volume is a class-leading 1,503
liters.
It is equipped with an 8-inch touch screen display
and a 3.5-inch LCD computer, as well as a one-button activation and keyless
entry system. Bosch’s ESP is able to bring the ultimate driving experience to
the owners, integrating voice assistance, entertainment, The π-link intelligent
network-connected system with the functions of smart navigation and car
tracking, 6 Airbags, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), rearview camera
with reversing sensors and ISOFIX child seat anchors are among major features
of the CX65.
CX65 is powered by a 1.5 liter 122 hp naturally
aspirated engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Reportedly a 1.0 liter
119 hp turbocharged unit with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch
transmission (DCT) will also be made available in future.
Available in 4 trims, the CX65 officially goes on
sale in China with an expected price tag starting from 79,000
yuan.
