After nearly two years of research and development,
Rogue Ridge has released what they believe to be the most advanced electric fat
bike available on the market today. Which is saying a lot, considering the
world of electric bikes is one that’s vastly expanding and likely to keep doing
so for some time.
Luckily for Rogue Ridge, all the elements appear to
be in order to support their claim. For instance, the entire ride is powered by
a 1000-watt motor and Panasonic 48V13AH Li-ion battery – sufficient for a top
speed of 30 mph and a range of 29 miles without pedaling. It’s lightweight as
well, clocking in at 63 lbs, and features a full-color digital display
including current speed, average speed, trip distance, and remaining battery
power.
Additionally, 135mm hydraulic shocks keep the ride
as smooth as possible and Kenda26” x 4.0” fat off-road tires make extended
off-road excursions possible. The e-bike also boasts a full carbon drive
system, the capacity to haul up to 300 lbs, and a hand-welded aluminum alloy
frame.
