TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS Apache RTR 180 Race Edition in the country at an ex-showroom, Delhi price of INR 83,233. The TVS Apache RTR 180 Race Edition comes in a unique racing carbon fibre theme which TVS says it denotes light-weight attributes and racing intent.

The fuel tank sports a new 3D TVS logo and the bodywork is in Pearl White colour with race-inspired graphics. There are TVS Racing branded rim stickers on the alloy wheels as well. The bike has an analogue-digital combo cluster with a blue backlit display and includes 0-60 km/h speed recorder, lap timer and service indicator among others.

The Race Edition continues to use the 177.4 cc single cylinder mill with air cooling. It produces 16.62 PS at 8,500 rpm, and 15.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Pairing with a 5-speed transmission, the bike can accelerate from standstill to 60 km/h in 4.96 seconds. With a kerb weight of 137 kg, the brand claims the bike has best-in-class power to weight ratio.

The Race Edition also features a 270 mm front and a 200 mm rear petal disc as standard. ABS is absent. Suspension components include telescopic front fork and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear.
