Bentley is offering Bang & Olusfen’s new
high-end Beosonic audio interface in the new Continental GT, a first for the
automotive world. The new Bang & Olufsen Beosonic is designed to shape the
sound in the car around you via a simple and intuitive one-touch user
interface, enabling Bentley’s customers to create “an entirely tailored,
bespoke audio experience”.
The high-end interface offers four distinct audio
spaces: Bright, Energetic, Warm and Relaxed. The driver can adjust the
soundtuning of each space through the haptic touchscreen display of the
infotainment system.
The Bentley Continental GT’s Bang & Olufsen
sound system has been developed in close collaboration between the British car
maker and Harman International. The system itself features 16 active
loudspeakers and a 1500-watt BeoCore DSP amplifier that ensures a high-quality
sound.
Customers who will opt for the new sound system will
also benefit from the iconic design of the speaker grilles. Finished in
aluminum and featuring holes drilled in variable sizes and angles, the B&O
speaker grilles feature a uniquely-designed Fibonacci hole pattern.
There’s more; the holes in the speaker
grilles also feature LED illumination, which welcomes the driver when the
system is turned on. A B&O logo debossed into the leather next to the
grilles completes the unique speaker design.
The new Continental GT also features laminated
acoustic glass windscreen and side windows that reduce exterior noise, ensuring
that the driver and passenger will enjoy an optimal audio experience.
