The latest addition to Sterckenn’s carbon fiber
portfolio is a custom front spoiler lip dedicated to all G30 and G31 BMW
5-Series models. The only catch is that you first need to have the
M-Performance package.
Sterckenn is a UK-based tuner specializing in carbon
fiber aero packages aimed at BMW models. According to the company, their goal
is to further enhance the genuine styling of BMW vehicles, rather than change
it.
In order to do that, they use 100% prepreg
(pre-impregnated) carbon fiber technology, which features unique properties
achieved under high temperatures and pressures. The process ends with the
Autoclave curing, which allows for excellent strength, rigidity and surface
quality to be achieved.
Case in point, the carbon fiber front lip added to
this G30 5-Series. It works in conjunction with the M-Performance front
spoiler, adding a tiny bit more aggressiveness, without changing the overall
appearance of the front fascia. It’s a subtle tweak, that many BMW 5-Series
owners might want to consider, as long as their idea of a sporty 5er is one
that doesn’t stand out any more than it has to.
The design of the spoiler lip is similar to what
we’ve seen from Manhart, who also specializes in German models, such as Audi,
Mercedes and of course, BMW – this official MH5 800 Concept render being a good
example.
