The new Ford Mustang Bullitt is already available to
order in several markets. As of today, in the United Kingdom, where
the official MSRP is £ 47,145 (US$ 63,303).
Given that it pays tribute to the iconic model
driven by Steve McQueen 50 years ago in ‘Bullitt’, and that it’s slightly more
powerful and offers more kit than the usual Mustang GT, the £ 5,400 (US$ 7,251)
premium sounds like a good deal.
What makes the 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt so special?
That would be the unique and ever wonderful Dark Highland Green metallic paint
along with the special design schemes in the grille and splitter, rear
‘Bullitt’ badge and 19-inch alloy wheels that feature a special pattern and
glossy black look. The special edition of the Mustang also benefits from red
Brembo six-piston front brake calipers.
The list of extra equipment over the regular Ford
Mustang GT includes Recaro leather seats, green details and stitching, a white
cue ball gear knob and special Bullitt instrument panel badge with the unique
chassis number. Audiophiles should be delighted by the standard B&O sound
system, which delivers 1,000 watts through 12 speakers.
Powering the Ford Mustang Bullitt is the same
5.0-liter V8 engine found in the Mustang GT, which now delivers 459 PS and 529 Nm of torque to the rear wheels through a six-speed
manual transmission.
