When it comes to sheer off-the-factory-floor
capability, few things come close to the original Hummer H1. Honestly, the
military SUV is one of the most badass vehicles ever to exist and needed
virtually no improvements. But that hasn’t stopped the folks at Mil-Spec Auto
from trying – and succeeding – with their ‘Launch Edition’ #001 Hummer H1.
Let’s start with what they did under the hood: this
monster is equipped with a hand-built 500-horsepower 6.6-liter turbodiesel LBZ
V8 engine that is capable of a whopping 1,000 foot-pounds of torque. That,
paired with a beefy suspension and Nitto Ridge all-terrain tires makes for one
extremely capable off-roader.
But the sheer capabilities don’t come without a
measure of comfort, as evidenced by the in-house developed custom interior done
up with marine-grade leather, water-resistant duck canvas, paracord safety
grips, a JL Audio premium sound system, LED interior lighting, and a host of
bespoke options. If you want to get behind the wheel of this monolithic SUV,
