Volvo USA announced that the new S60 T8 Polestar Engineered will be available in just 20 examples via subscription starting today. The range-topping 415 hp version of the all-new S60 is offered to Care-by-Volvo customers for the all-inclusive monthly payment of US$ 1,100 before local taxes and registration fees. The payment covers insurance, service and maintenance.

Power comes from a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a twincharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a rear-mounted electric motor, giving the range-topping S60 all-wheel drive, as well as 415 hp and 494lb-ft of torque to play with.

Having the ‘Polestar Engineered’ badge also means that the performance version of the new S60 also comes fitted with performance parts such as a trick Öhlins suspension, bigger Brembo brakes with gold calipers, a Polestar strut bar and exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels.

Volvo still hasn’t shared any performance data of the S60 T8 Polestar Engineered, with reports suggesting a 0-96 km/h in 4.3 seconds. If true, this will make it less of a M3 fighter and more of a rival to models like the Audi S4 and Mercedes AMG C43.

The 20 units of the 2019 S60 T8 Polestar Engineered will be available for subscription on June 28 after noon ET.
