People who simply want a car to take to the track
and experience racing at its most visceral should really consider something
like this used Radical SR4.
It features a right-hand drive setup, as well as the
automaker’s high-downforce package, which includes the front spliter, dive
planes and the dual-pane adjustable rear wing. The seller will also give away
two additional sets of wheels and tires to go with the three-piece SR3 wheels,
currently wearing Hoosier tires.
According to the Bring a Trailer ad, the car hasn’t
been crashed during its time on the track. However, it does have quite a few
nicks and scrapes, especially around the nose area and lower side panels,
although, to be fair, this is to be expected from a vehicle that spends its
time at the circuit instead of a heated garage.
Inside, you’ll find racing seats with six-point
safety harnesses (which need replacement), a Momo Mod 12/C quick-release wheel,
an adjustable pedal box and a fire suppression system.
This Radical is powered by a Suzuki Hayabusa-based
1,547cc inline-four tuned to run on 91 octane fuel. Power is fed to the rear
wheels with the help of a stock Hayabusa sequential 6-speed gearbox. The ad
states that the engine was rebuilt in spring and that it has been converted to
run on fuel injection.
