The Dodge Durango continues to remain popular with consumers and the 2019 model has just been revealed with a handful of subtle updates. Starting with the entry-level Durango SXT, the model can now be equipped with optional leather seats. The crossover also features a five-seat interior and a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that develops 295 hp and 352 Nm of torque.

Bigger changes occur to the mid-level Durango GT as it now has the same front fascia and LED fog lights as the Durango R/T and SRT. Customers can further enhance the V8-inspired styling by ordering an optional performance hood with a central air intake and two heat extractors. The crossover can also be outfitted with restyled 20-inch wheels featuring a Brass Monkey or Satin Carbon finish.

The luxury-oriented Durango Citadel now comes standard with second-row captain’s seats. Customers can also order a new 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Speaking of options, the model will once again be offered with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine developing 360 hp and 528 Nm of torque.

The Durango R/T largely carries over as the only changes are the new Harman Kardon audio system and newly optional Sepia leather seats. Rounding out the lineup is the Durango SRT which has a handful of new options for 2019. Besides the Harman Kardon audio system, the high-performance model can now be equipped with red seat belts and a Brembo braking system featuring two-piece rotors.

Even without the new options, the Durango SRT is pretty impressive as it features a 6.4-liter V8 engine with 475 hp and 636 Nm of torque. It enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 4.4 seconds and tow up to 3,946 kg.

The 2019 Dodge Durango will be offered in 11 different colors including three new shades called Destroyer Gray, F8 Green and Reactor Blue. Other changes include an upgraded Trailer Tow Group which now features an integrated trailer brake. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross path detection will also be available as a standalone option across the Durango lineup.

The 2019 Durango will arrive at dealerships this fall and pricing starts at US$ 29,995 – excluding destination and handling fees.
