Citroen is celebrating 90,000 orders received for
the new C3 Aircross with a special edition called the Rip Curl. Available from € 22,600 (US$ 26,396)
in France for the base model, and stretching to € 26,650 (US$ 31,126) for the top-of-the-line
grade, it’s based on the Feel trim level, and benefits from extra kit.
The new C3 Aircross Rip Curl comes with a choice of
four exterior colors and the optional White Color Pack on the headlight
surrounds and side mirror casings, 17-inch alloys, and a ‘Rip Curl’ decal on
the front doors.
Inside, the subcompact crossover features flecked
grey fabric with white stitching, blue strip on the upper part of the seats
reminiscent of the exterior Blue Color Pack and specific carpets and more.
The ‘more’ part includes 7-inch touchscreen
infotainment system with TomTom navigation, voice recognition and connected
services, smartphone integration, Citroen Connect Box with SOS Pack, City Pack,
Auto Pack, opening panoramic glass sunroof and Grip Control.
This gear is offered at no extra cost, and joins the
already standard features equipping the Feel trim level, such as fog lamps with
cornering function, heated side mirrors and air conditioning. Customers get to choose between
two petrol engines, a 110 PS with a six-speed manual gearbox or a
six-speed automatic, and a 130 PS unit that works together with a
six-speed manual. There are also two diesels available, the 100 PS with a six-speed manual and the 120 PS mated to a six-speed
automatic.
This is the fourth addition to the Rip Curl range
that already includes the C4 Cactus, C4 Picasso and SpaceTourer.
