The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was not just an event that drew worldwide attention, but also the perfect opportunity for Mini to create a unique three-door hatchback. Responsible for the project was the brand’s chief of design, Oliver Heilmer, along with his team, and the car comes with a few special features.

These include the mix of the US and UK national flags on the roof, while opening the doors reveals a ‘Just Married’ welcome message projected on the asphalt and a ‘Mini Loves You’ inscription on the sill plates, alongside other updates.

The unique Mini will be auctioned for charity during the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, on July 13, with proceeds benefiting the non-profit organization of the royal couple called Children’s HIV Association (CHIVA).

Besides the bespoke hatch, Mini will have two other special offerings on display at Goodwood. The first is the Electric Concept, which was presented to the public at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, with an updated design and zero-emission powertrain.

The other is the JCW GP Concept, a sportier take on the production model that benefits from a few visual updates and celebrates the brand’s racing days with a stripped down interior.
