The Yamaha RX100 is an emotion to Indian
bike aficionados. Here we have a walk-about Youtube video of an RX100 that is a
tastefully resto-modified to factory glory improvised with custom touches that
every RX100 lover must see.
The custom resto-modified Yamaha RX100
is finished in a shade of gunmetal grey. The bike gets black pinstripes on the
fuel tank. The custom Yamaha RX100 features a chrome treatment to the exhaust,
handlebar, rear shock absorbers and indicators.
The bike gets a matte black finished
round headlight with LED projector units and machined alloy wheels. Braking
force comes from drum brakes at both the ends. The front telescopic forks and
leg guard also get the matte black treatment. Moreover, the engine finished in
gunmetal shade as well.
Most of the cycle parts are original
fitments. Powering the Yamaha RX100 is a 98 cc, single-cylinder, carburetted,
two-stroke engine that is capable of producing 11 bhp of maximum power at 7,500
rpm while developing a peak torque of 10.39 Nm at 6,500 rpm. A 4-speed gearbox
transfers power to the rear wheels. The Yamaha RX100 owes its brilliant
performance to its low Kerb weight of 103 kg.
The Yamaha RX 100 was manufactured in
India from 1985 to 1996. The bike was discontinued owing to the introduction of
strict emission norms. It was replaced by the Yamaha RX 135 and later the
Yamaha RX-Z, which were not worthy enough to be considered as a spiritual
successor by its fanbase.
