A panoramic sunroof is now available on top-end variants as are new 17-inch alloy wheels. Honda has also introduced a new colour called 'Passion Red Pearl', and finally, there’s a new chrome strip linking the taillamps.

Inside, designers have changed the shape of the front seats to improve comfort and introduced a new 7-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system that features not only navigation and voice control but also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Indonesian-spec model also gets technologies like Honda LaneWatch Blind Spot Display and CTBA (City-Brake Active System) autonomous emergency braking system which were earlier available only on Japanese and European spec HR-Vs.

Two engine options are available on the HR-V in Indonesia: a 1.5-liter i-VTEC and 1.8-liter i-VTEC both four-cylinder petrol engines. The former develops 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque while the latter makes 139 PS and 169 Nm of torque. Aside from the base S-MT which gets a 6-speed manual gearbox, the variants use a CVT.
