Mercedes UK has announced pricing details fpr the
range-topping X350d version of the X-Class, which is powered by a 3.0-liter V6
diesel unit.
The new addition to the X-Class lineup offers 255 hp and 550 Nm and is paired to a seven-speed automatic
transmission. The standard 4Matic all-wheel drive system comes with three
different modes, including a low range option for the most hardcore off-roaders
out there.
The Dynamic Select offers five drive modes: Eco,
Comfort, Sport, Off-Road, and Manual. The safety kit is pretty impressive and
includes Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Brake Assist (radar-based
autonomous emergency braking), Traffic Sign Assist, Hill-Start Assist, Downhill
Speed Regulation, a Thatcham anti-theft security package and a load securing
rail system.
The new Mercedes X-350d is offered in the Power trim
level only, which includes painted bumpers with simulated under guard in
chrome; a rear bumper in chrome with integrated step; fog lights with chrome
surround; shoulder line trim strips in chrome; LED high-performance headlights
with cleaning system; LED tail lights; electrically folding exterior mirrors;
and Keyless Go as standard.
The interior also comes with features usually found
in premium models, but then again, this is a Mercedes pickup truck. Features
include eight-way electrically adjustable and heated driver and front passenger
seats, leather steering wheel with gearshift paddles and cruise control,
leather and microfiber upholstery, leather dashboard with topstitching which
also features an aluminum interior trim, among others.
Mercedes says that first deliveries of the new X350d
are expected this November, with prices starting from £ 38,350, excluding VAT.
