MINI is targeting business and fleet buyers with a
new entry-level version of the Clubman, called Clubman City. Priced from £ 19,995
(US$ 26,255/€ 22,422) in the UK, tax included, it’s available with a choice of two
engines, a 1.5-liter petrol or a 1.5-liter diesel.
The most affordable variant comes with a six-speed
manual gearbox, but there’s an optional automatic transmission. Pricing for the
automatic petrol model starts at £ 21,555 (US$ 28,304/€ 24,171), while the oil
burner version begins at £ 23,855 (US$ 31,234/€ 26,750). MINI says their entire range of
cars sold in the UK as of July 2018, including the new Clubman City, is now
WLTP compliant.
The equipment list is said to be “designed for those
who live their life on the go”, and includes air conditioning, cruise control
and sports steering wheel, which are carried over from the previous entry-level
Clubman.
The City derivative comes with standard 6.5-inch
infotainment system, satellite navigation system, Apple CarPlay, DAB Radio,
Bluetooth, Real Time Traffic Information, Intelligent Emergency Calling and
Park Distance Control.
It sits on 16-inch Revolite Spoke wheels, which can
be upgraded to 17-inch Silver Vent Spoke, Silver Net Spoke or Black Net Spoke.
Run flat tires are available as well, at an extra cost.
