The Tata Winger 15S is now on sale in Maharashtra
and Rajasthan, with prices starting at INR 12.05 lakh (ex-showroom statewide).
Tata Motors had showcased this model at Prawaas 2017. The Tata Winger 15S measures
5,458 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width and 2,670 mm in height.
It features with
a high roof for comfortable entry and exit as standard. Thanks to this
otherwise optional feature, the internal roof height is 1,900 mm.
While the 9+D, 12+D and 13+D versions have 14-inch wheels, the 15S version has
15-inch wheels. It offers a ground clearance of 180 mm, 15 mm more than the
other versions.
Key features of the Tata Winger 15S include air
conditioning with individual vents, multiple charging ports and push-back
seats. The 15S version can accommodate 15 passengers. 585 litres of luggage
space is available behind the seats. There’s no sliding door on the left side.
So, the passengers enter the van through the front door by folding the outboard
front passenger seat.
Under the hood, the Tata Winger 15S has the
2.2-litre DICOR diesel engine. This BS4-compliant engine produces 100
hp at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 1,250-3,500 rpm. A 5-speed manual
transmission sends power to the wheels. Tata Motors claims a top speed of 100
km/h.
Tata Motors offers the Winger 15S with a 3
year/3,00,000 km warranty as standard. It expects the 15-seater to become
popular amongst large families, businesses and shuttle operators
