The 2019 Audi A4 (facelift) has been spotted in the
metal for the first time ever. Seen below are a handful of images of its Avant
(estate) version. The 2019 Audi A4 is basically a mid-life facelift of the fifth
generation (B9) Audi A4. The 2019 A4 range gets a new set of bumpers and a
new design for the alloy wheels. The foglamp housings feature a U-shaped clip.
There are openings in the air inlets to guide a portion of the airflow into the
wheel housings. The rear-end gets an updated bumper with trapezoidal exhaust
tips. Also, the A4 model line gets the S Line competition equipment package
with the MY2019 update.
The S Line package brings a sporty bumper diffuser
and a Selenite Silver finish for the stone chip guard. The Avant variant also
gets an RS rear spoiler, and a new Turbo Blue paint finish. On the inside, the
S Line competition package will bring in RS carbon trim, a sporty 3-spoke
steering wheel, and sports seats.
Audi should offer the 2019 A4 with the same set of
petrol and diesel engines that power the pre-facelift model: 1.4-litre TFSI
petrol, 2.0-litre TFSI petrol, 2.0-litre TDI diesel, and 3.0-litre TDI diesel,
with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission
and the quattro AWD system (optional in select configurations).
In its home market, the 2019 Audi A4 facelift will
go on sale later this year. It will be available in both sedan and station
wagon (Avant) body styles. Its India launch, however, will take place only next
year.
