At the 2019
Cherokee European media drive event in Sicily, FCA’s Mopar division has
showcased some of the personalization options available for the facelifted SUV.
There are more than 90 accessories available in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East
and Africa) region for the Cherokee, aimed at improving the model’s design,
practicality, and off-road experience.
Mopar exhibited a 2019 Cherokee equipped with
some of those accessories. They are grouped in two main categories: the
off-road pack and the urban pack. The former comes with a bonnet decal, black
mirror caps, a boot tray, and all-weather floor mats. Underbody protection is
enhanced by the rock rails supplied by Jeep Performance Parts. Some
accessories, such as the rock rails, can be configured on the vehicle at the
time of the purchase, and installed in the factory before customer delivery.
As for the urban
pack, it brings several chrome accessories including mirror caps, door handles,
kick plate, and hubcaps with the Mopar logo. Carpet floor mats and a cargo
organizer are also included.
Besides the two
packs, Mopar offers a range of 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels, roof racks,
bicycle racks, roof boxes and more. Finally, the 2019 Jeep Cherokee can also be
equipped with the Mopar Connect safety, security and remote control services.
Available both as a
factory-installed and aftersales feature, Mopar Connect integrates with the
Uconnect Live services and adds new functions like roadside assistance
(including crash assistance) and locating the vehicle after a theft.
Customers can also
use the system to control some of the car’s functions remotely. For example, it
sends an alert if the vehicle exceeds a certain speed limit or leaves a
predefined area of the map. Furthermore, the technology enables users to locate
their parked car via a smartphone app and view information about its status,
fuel level and battery charge.
