While the all-new GLE has already been been unveiled
to the public, Mercedes is still working on the GLE Coupe version, as fully
camouflaged prototypes have been spotted in traffic as recently as a few weeks
ago.
Despite the camo, the next-gen GLE Coupe seems to
have a more aggressive rear-end design than the current model, featuring a more
angular beltline and what appears to be a sleeker roofline. Yet, from a front 3/4 angle, it
may very well look a lot like this recent rendering by X-Tomi Design, who took
the new GLE and molded it into something sportier.
The headlights on the Coupe could be slightly
different than the ones on the regular GLE, but then again, the camouflage on
the prototype is very extensive, so we could be wrong. Overall, the new GLE Coupe should
continue carrying Mercedes‘ torch as far as sticking with the automaker’s
‘Sensual Purity’ design philosophy.
As for what it will be like on the inside, expect a
carry-over from its more conservative sibling, meaning the two massive
12.3-inch screens, new three-spoke steering wheel, leather-wrapped grab handles
and Mercedes’ latest MBUX infotainment system.
