Announced for the Australian
market, the Nissan Navara new Silverline and ST Black editions of the Navara follow on the
success achieved by the previous ST-X N-Sport edition, all 500 examples of
which sold out Down Under shortly after the model’s release.
The Black Edition is based on the Navara Dual Cab
4X4 ST, and as you might have guessed, encompasses an array of murdered-out
trim, including black sports bar, nudge bar, LED light bar, wheel arches,
grille, mirror caps, fog lamp surrounds, decals, and 18-inch alloys. It also
comes with a smoked hood protector, a soft tonneau cover, and protective
bedliner.
The Silverline edition upgrades on the Navara Dual
Cab 4×4 SL and gets a more limited list of enhancements, including 16-inch
alloys (instead of the standard steel wheels), a polished alloy sports bar, and
special badging.
Only 900 examples of each will be offered in
Australia, priced from AUD 48,690 for the Black Edition and AUD 39,490 for the
Silverline.
The Australian market is one of the most vital for
the Navara, which is produced in Thailand for regional consumption, with
parallel assembly in Spain, Mexico, Argentina, and China. And that’s just
Nissan’s own version, which also serves as the basis for the Renault Alaskan
and Mercedes-Benz X-Class.
