The Tata Nexon
added Bangladesh to the list of its export markets this weekend. There, the
entry-level SUV’s prices start at BDT 24.90 lakh, which converts to INR
21,43,607.35. The Tata Nexon is available in Bangladesh in only the
top-of-the-line XZA+ grade. So, premium features like projector headlamps, LED
DRLs, dual-tone roof colour, 16-inch machine-cut alloy wheels, LED tail lamps,
smart key with push-button start (PEPS), wearable PEPS key, 6.5-inch floating
central display, 8-speaker sound system, front fog lamps, rear defogger and
ISOFIX child-seat anchorage are standard.
The Tata Nexon is an AMT-only offering in Bangladesh. It features the
first-in-segment 6-speed automated manual transmission with multiple drive
modes (Eco, City and Sport). 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged petrol and
1.5-litre Revotorq turbocharged diesel are the engine choices. The petrol
engine produces 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque. The diesel engine develops 110 PS
and 260 Nm of torque. The petrol engine model costs BDT 24.90 lakh, while the diesel engine model retails at BDT 25.90 lakh.
In India, the Nexon
will complete its first year of sales in India on the 21st of this month. To
celebrate the first anniversary, Tata Motors has introduced its limited-edition
‘Kraz’ model with sportier styling in the domestic market. Cumulative sales of
the Maruti Vitara Brezza rival crossed 50,000 units just last month.
