As per a report on Car and Bike, the 2018 Datsun GO
and the 2018 Datsun GO+ will launch early next month. The Indian-spec 2018 Datsun GO
and 2018 Datsun GO+ will gain their updates from their Indonesian counterparts.
While the company sells a stylish body kit in Indonesia, it's unlikely to offer
the same in the Indian car market.
The Indian versions will benefit from
most of the styling updates from the Indonesian twins. The front-end will sport
updated headlamps, a new bumper, LED DRLs, and a bolder hexagonal grille. In
the side profile, both the Datsun GO and the Datsun GO+ could get a set of
stylish 14-inch alloy wheels and wing mirrors with integrated turn indicators.
The rear-end will receive a new bumper and rear washer and wiper.
On the inside, the Datsun GO facelift and Datsun GO+
facelift will have revisions to lend its a sense of premiumness. The dashboard
will be entirely new, with the rectangular central AC vents making way for
circular units. The instrument binnacle will carry an analogue tachometer.
There will be a lid for closing the glovebox. The top-spec GO is expected to
offer a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The 2+1-like front seats of
the current vehicles will be replaced with individual bucket seats. ELR type
seat belts will be present for rear seat occupants.
Powering the Datsun GO and Datsun GO+ is a
1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces a
maximum power of 68 PS at 5,000 rpm & a peak torque of 104 Nm at 4,000 rpm.
The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Specifications are
likely to remain the same for the facelift.
