Following the
reveal of the new Track Pack specification for the 720S earlier this month,
McLaren has now released U.S. pricing. The 2019 McLaren 720S Track Pack costs US$ 332,770, including the 720S in Performance specification. That makes it US$ 28,000 more expensive than a “standard” McLaren 720S Coupe.
McLaren says that’s
a good deal, however, since the 28 grand represents a saving over the cost of
purchasing the individual Pack components separately. Apparently, you could do
that too, but it wouldn’t make much sense.
As a reminder, the
lightweight components included in the Track Pack help the 720S shed nearly 24 kg to unlock extra agility on the circuit. Exterior highlights include
a carbon fiber active rear spoiler, 10-Spoke forged alloy wheels, and a sports
exhaust.
The cabin is
dominated by the carbon fiber racing seats and also features carbon fiber extended
gearshift paddles, and a steering wheel trimmed in black Alcantara.
Performance-wise, the 720S Track Pack’s drive modes gain a bespoke Track
setting, and McLaren in-car telemetry is also standard. The 720 PS twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine remains untouched, enabling the supercar to
cover the 0-200 km/h sprint in just 7.8 seconds. Customers can
order the 720S Coupe in Performance specification with Track Pack right now at
McLaren Automotive retailers. However, deliveries won’t begin before 2019.
