AC Schnitzer has released its first tuning package for the
BMW X2. The pack enhances both the styling and the performance of the X2,
courtesy of a new aero kit and sports suspension – plus a power upgrade in
development.
Design-wise, the changes aren’t dramatic, but they
manage to give the X2 a more dynamic look. The aerodynamic package consists of
an M-Technik front splitter supplied together with triangular design elements
for the standard front apron, as well as a roof spoiler.
The tuner also supplies AC1 alloy wheels in 19 or 20
inches, available in BiColor silver/black or in anthracite. The wheels come
fitted with tires sized 225/45 R 19 or 245/35 R 20, respectively. Rounding off
the exterior tweaks are the custom exhaust tailpipes in three different designs
and the AC Schnitzer badging.
Inside, the tuner opted for aluminum accessories
including the pedals, shift paddle set in black/red, and the “Black Line” cover
for the iDrive controller.
As for performance, the aftermarket specialists
offer a suspension spring set that lowers the X2 by approximately 20-35 mm on the front and rear axles, depending on the model. There’s also an engine upgrade in
the works that sees the X2 20d upgraded from 190 PS to 222 PS.
The diesel power kit will be available later on for both sDrive and xDrive
versions.
