Cleveland Ace Deluxe and Misfit would soon be joined by the Ace Cafe and the
Ace Scrambler. In a further update, Cleveland Heist, a
229cc segment from the American brand, would follow the Ace duo. The 229 cc cruiser features
minimal body panels for a retro look. The motorcycle features typical cruiser
style ergonomics with forward set footrests and tall handlebar. The fuel tank
is a clean slate for owners to customise the visuals.
Stopping power is provided by a 290 mm single disc
at the front and 240 mm single disc at the rear. Both, front and rear feature
dual piston callipers. Stainless steel braided and bonded brake lines come as
standard. The motorcycle rides on chrome-spoked wheels that further enhance its
cruiser styling. The solo seat is three-way adjustable and comes with choice of
seat shocks, or classic seat springs.
The motorcycle features all steel fenders, battery
box, oil tank and gas tank. The rear fender sports a compact tail light while
the blinkers are mounted on the subframe. Similar to other Cleveland models,
the Heist also features a spherical headlight that enhances its retro
character.
Mechanical specifications include the same 229 cc
engine that powers the Ace range of motorcycles. The 229 cc OHV,
single-cylinder, air-cooled engine is tuned to deliver 15.4 hp of power at
7,000 rpm and 16 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed
gearbox.
There is no specific timeline mentioned for the
motorcycle. Meanwhile, the new dealership in Navi Mumbai is offering the Ace
Deluxe and the Misfit at an ex-showroom price tag of INR 2.24 lakh and INR 2.49
lakh (ex-showroom, Navi Mumbai) respectively. Cleveland CycleWerks has joined
hands with Laish Madison Motor Werks Private Limited to bring the classic-retro
style American branded motorcycles to the Indian market.
