Fiat 500X is now more modern and functional
than ever before, boasting new comfort and safety features, as well as a
refreshed exterior with LED lighting units front and rear. UK customers can choose between
three trim levels in Urban, City Cross and Cross Plus, three petrol engines,
including two new turbo units, and can also enjoy a host of safety assistance
systems as standard across the range. Prices start from £ 16,995.
The entry-level sticker is for the 500X Urban 1.6
110 PS model, which comes with front-wheel drive and a manual
transmission, plus Start & Stop functionality as standard. Those who want
improved straight line performance can opt for either the 1.0-liter power unit
with 120 PS and 190 Nm of torque or the 1.3-liter one with
150 PS and 270 Nm of torque.
All models come standard with Traffic Sign
Recognition, Intelligent Speed Assist and Lane Assist, while the likes of Blind
Spot Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control and City Brake Control can be had as
optional extras. Also standard is the Uconnect 7-inch HD Live touchscreen
display, complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Other features that come at no extra cost (on the
entry-level Urban model) include the LED DRL and rear lights, 16-inch alloy
wheels, Techno-leather steering wheel, the previously-mentioned infotainment
system, manual air conditioning, cruise control and the electronic parking
brake. Move up in the range to the City Cross (from £ 18,995) and you gain
17-inch alloys, satin chrome inserts and body-colored door mirrors, front fog
lights, 3.5-inch color TFT monitor, automatic climate control and rear parking
sensors.
Finally, the flagship Cross Plus spec (from £ 20,995)
offers LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, roof bars and dark tinted rear
windows on the outside, whereas the cabin features the Parkview rear parking
camera, dusk sensor and a front armrest.
Also, if you’d rather have the DCT automatic version
of the City Cross or Cross Plus specs, that will cost you upwards of £ 21,195
and £ 23,195 respectively.
