Hyundai Brazil has announced the Creta Diamond for
the 2018 Sao Paulo Auto Show that will run from 8-18 November. Along with the
announcement, the company has released a few teasers of the special edition
model.
The Hyundai Creta Diamond offers exclusive styling
and a more luxurious interior than the regular model. It is painted in metallic
blue, a colour option not included in the standard SUV. Another distinctive
feature is the panoramic sunroof. The ORVMs, roof, shark fin antenna and large
rear spoiler come in black for a contrasting look.
The interior looks rich, thanks to the design and
colour scheme of the exclusive quilted leather seats in ivory and caramel
shades. The upper portion of the dashboard is apparently in beige instead of
black. The door panels also carry a dual-tone colour scheme similar to the
seats, as opposed to black in the standard model. The steering wheel also
switches from black to a matching colour, seemingly in the ivory shade of the
seats.
Hyundai Motor Brasil has reworked more than 200
elements to create the Diamond edition. “Creta Diamond is an exercise to
showcase design possibilities and equipment that we can consider in the future
for the Creta line,” says Angel Martinez, the company’s Executive Director of
Sales. The Diamond edition is based on the range-topping Prestige grade of the
regular model.
The Hyundai Creta Diamond employs the 166 PS
(ethanol)/156 PS (petrol) 2.0-litre Dual-CVVT Flex bi-fuel engine. A standard
6-speed automatic transmission channels drive to the wheels.
