The next Pagani Huayra variant is just around the
corner and it is shaping up to be the quickest and most aggressive to date. Dubbed the Huayra BC Roadster,
the car will fuse the finest components of the BC Coupe with the exceptionally
lightweight construction and advanced technologies of the Huayra Roadster. A
disguised prototype was recently snapped testing at an undisclosed race circuit
and appears just as insane as we’d hoped.
At the rear, the BC Roadster will feature a
near-identical carbon fiber wing to the Coupe while also sporting an aggressive
rear diffuser. From these spy shots, we can also see that the Italian hypercar
will use a removable hardtop that comes adorned with a pair of aerodynamic
fines to help the car slice through the air.
The front of the BC
Roadster revealed that it will receive overt splitters and canards like the
Coupe. By some wizardry, Pagani was able to make the ordinary Huayra
Roadster a substantial 80 kg lighter than the Coupe. With that in
mind, it’s entirely possible that the BC Roadster will be lighter than the BC
Coupe, meaning it could tip the scales at under 1199 kg.
Like the BC Coupe, Pagani will fit the BC Roadster
with an uprated 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 sourced from Mercedes-AMG. Power
figures could sit upwards of 800 hp, ensuring that the car is an absolute
monster.
Production of the Pagani Huayra BC Roadster will
apparently be limited to just 20 units and, like the BC Coupe, the majority of
these cars will be personalized to the tastes of their owners.
