Rolls-Royce has an SUV
in its lineup for the first time in its long history. It’s called the Cullinan
and promises to be the most luxurious high-riding vehicle ever.
The Cullinan is powered by a 571 PS and 850 Nm of torque twin-turbo 6.75-liter V12, carries the
brand’s design language on the outside, and it’s an expression of opulence
inside, packing pretty much everything one would expect from a Rolls SUV.
With an MSRP of US$ 325,000 on this side of the pond,
before checking any optional extras from the list, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is
one expensive ride. But its starting price pales next to Klassen’s offerings,
which, for an eye-watering € 1.8 million (US$ 2.1 million) in Germany, will sell
you a stretched and armored Cullinan.
The official renderings reveal the final project,
which adds 1,016 mm to the length of the car, stretching it to 6,357 mm, besides adding longer rear doors, a raised roofline and options such
as panoramic glass roofs. The interior can be enhanced furthermore with the
Bang & Olufsen sound system, partition wall, new multimedia center, ambient
LED lighting and more, with most relevant functions said to be controllable via
an iPhone.
For the money, the German company will also bullet
proof your Cullinan, offering Level 7 and Level 9 ballistic protection, and the
‘Guard’ moniker that comes with it.
Klassen says the stretched and armored SUV will be
available for grabs in 6 months after placing the order. As for those who
cannot wait that long, they also have a range of other luxury cars turned into
limos available straight away.
