Prices of the Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP are
out. The hatchback costs INR 6.39 lakh*, while the sedan retails at INR 7.49
lakh*. The Tata Tiago JTP & Tata Tigor JTP pack a punchier 1.2-litre
Revotron turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 114 PS at
5,000 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 2,000-4,000 rpm paired to a 5-speed manual
transmission with different gear ratios (in 1st and 3rd gears) and final drive
ratio. The user can select from two driving modes: City and Sport.
A 0-100 km/h sprint in the hatchback takes just 9.95
seconds, while the sedan can accomplish the same in 10.38 seconds. The top
speed is capped at 160 km/h. The JTP variants have a 4 mm lower ground
clearance and a retuned steering system for a sportier driving experience.
The Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP look more
dynamic than the regular cars. They feature a hood vent, unique design for the
upper grille and lower grille, large trapezoidal lower grille, 15-inch alloy
wheels in a model-specific design, side skirts, twin barrel exhaust with sporty
exhaust note and JTP logos all around.
The dual-chambered projector headlamps are not new
to the Tigor JTP, for they are available in the standard variant, but in the
Tiago JTP, they are exclusive. The same goes for the 5-inch touchscreen
infotainment system on the inside. Interior highlights include a
leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, aluminium pedals, black
fabric seat covers with a red hexagonal motif, red double stitching and JTP
branding and red double stitching on the gearshift gaiter.
The Tata Tiago JTP and Tata Tigor JTP will reach
start reaching dealerships early next month.
