While Mitsubishi Motors Thailand has been busy
readying a facelift for the current generation Pajero Sport, it has come up
with a special edition to clear existing stock before the advent of the
refresh. Dubbed the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Elite Edition, the new model
features a handful of exterior and interior styling updates.
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Elite Edition is
available in a dual-tone colour scheme comprising the White Pearl base paint
along with Jet Black Mica finish on several sections. The special edition of
the company's premium mid-size SUV features PAJERO SPORT branding on the hood,
gloss black finish on the front grille, black roof wrap, and black 18-inch
multi-spoke alloy wheels shod with 265/60-spec tires.
On the inside, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Elite
Edition features brown leather upholstery made up of sun-reflective materials
that help keep the cabin cool. Other highlights of the cabin include stainless
steel door trim and ambient lighting. The safety net for the new model
comprises 7 airbags, Vehicle Stability
Control (VSC) with anti-roll and skid steer control (ASTC), Steering assist on
a slope, Frontal collision warning system, and 360-degree camera view.
Powering the Elite Edition is the MIVEC 4N15
2.4-liter turbo-diesel motor that outputs a maximum power of 181 hp at 3,500
rpm and 430 Nm at 2,500 rpm. The motor comes mated to an eight-speed automatic
transmission that is capable of driving all four wheels through a Super Select
4WD-II hardware. This system provides four driving modes, including 2H, 4H,
4HLc (4WD High-range with locked transfer case), and 4LLc (4WD Low-Range with
locked transfer case).
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Elite Edition is
available in two versions - 2WD and 4WD. The former is priced at 1,459,000 baht, while the latter costs 1,574,000 baht.
