Jaguar has announced a series of updates to the 2019
XF in the United States. The biggest addition is the new XF 300 Sport which is a limited
edition model that starts at US$ 63,810. Available exclusively in three colors (Yulong
White, Indus Silver and Santorini Black), the model has a contrasting Dark
Satin Grey finish on the grille surround, side vents, rear spoiler and wheels.
The special edition also features “300 Sport” branding on the brake calipers. Interior changes are limited, but drivers will find
yellow contrast stitching as well as 300 Sport badging on the front headrests,
steering wheel and sill plates.
Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter
four-cylinder engine that produces 296 hp and 400
Nm of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which
can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system for an additional US$ 3,000.
When the latter option is checked, the sedan can accelerate from 0-96
km/h in 5.6 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 194 km/h.
Besides the new special edition, the 2019 XF lineup
gains a standard Touch Pro infotainment system that features a 10-inch
touchscreen display with improved menus and updated graphics. The system can
also be equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility thanks to a
newly optional Smartphone Package.
Other newly standard features include a frameless
auto-dimming rearview mirror, a suedecloth headliner and bright metal pedals.
Drivers will also find premium floor mats, chrome seat switches and illuminated
sill plates with Jaguar branding.
Premium models can be equipped with newly optional
19-inch seven-spoke wheels, while Prestige variants now come standard with Navigation
Pro, Pro Services and a Wi-Fi Hotspot. Speaking of the navigation system, it
now supports voice commands.
