It’s time for the GMC Sierra HD to have its moment in front of the cameras. The amount of camouflage is similar to the one worn by the previously-mentioned Silverado HD truck, although the Chevy didn’t have such a tightly-wrapped tailgate, which makes it likely that this Sierra HD is trying to hide its MultiPro tailgate, which boasts six different positions on the 2019 model.

Compared to the Sierra 1500, this 2020 HD version will feature a chunkier grille and new headlight treatment out in front, while at the rear we can spot an integrated bed step, just like on the 2020 Silverado – should come in handy in a great number of ways.

The GMC Sierra HD should enter production sometime next year, when customers will be able to order it in both entry-level spec as well as a flagship Denali HD model. The 2019MY Denali is currently priced from US$ 56,400, so expected the 2020 version to cost you about the same, give or take.

As for engine variations, the current truck is available in 2500HD and 3500HD crew cab spec, the former boasting a payload capacity of 1,486 kg, whereas the latter is able to haul 2,772 kg thanks to its 445 HP 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine, which also produces a whooping 1,232 Nm of torque.
