You’d think that people who tend to buy a Porsche
911 Targa would generally prefer to keep them mostly stock, seen as how this
version of the 911 is kind of a throwback to the original Targa. Well, here’s at least one exception,
as this particular 911 Targa was converted into something slightly more
aggressive thanks to TopCar’s Stinger GTR body kit. As you can see, the changes
are quite noticeable.
Compared to, say, a 911 Turbo (or any other
fixed-roof 911), this Targa version seems to blend in with the Stinger GTR kit
a little bit more seamlessly, probably because there’s no huge rear wing.
As for all the parts that went into making this
Targa a little more special, those would be the custom bumpers and fenders
(front and rear), diffuser, side skirts, bonnet and badges, most of those being
carbon fiber.
We also spot what appears to be the Russian tuner’s
upgraded exhaust system. In all likelihood, the interior will also be updated,
while there’s no word on any mods on the engine. Overall, this looks like an
interesting build for those who’d like to make their Targa look more hardcore
than the stock item. Is it better looking, though? Well, that’s up for
discussion.
