Yamaha has launched the 2019 YZF-R25 ABS in the
Indonesian market. The quarter-litre motorcycle has been priced at IDR 64,600,000. Yamaha revealed the 2019 YZF-R25 and YZF-R3 in October 2018. The
YZF-R25 (and YZF-R3), unlike other YZF-R series models, do not feature the
famed Deltabox frame. Instead, it is built around a steel tubular frame. The
fairing and windscreen on the 2019 YZF-R25 pay homage to Yamaha's MotoGP race
bike, the YZR-M1. The fairing is claimed to reduce aerodynamic drag and
increase the top speed.
Visually, the 2019 Yamaha YZF-R25 and YZF-R3
motorcycles feature a revised fascia with dual LED headlights and an updated
fairing that the Japanese two-wheeler brand calls "cross-layered".
The hazard lamp functions come installed from the factory. Other features that
come as standard on the 2019 YZF-R25 include fully-digital instrument panel,
298 mm single hydraulic disc brake at the front and 220 mm single hydraulic
unit at the rear.
The motorcycle rides on a 110/70-17 tyre at the
front and 140/70-17 section rubber at the rear. (KYB 37 mm) inverted front
forks replaced the conventional telescopic front suspension with the facelift. The mechanical specifications
have remained unchanged from the previous model, and the YZF-R25 continues to
feature a 249 cc, parallel twin cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC engine
that delivers 35.5 hp of maximum power @ 12,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque
at 10,000 rpm.
