BMW has announced
the uk range and pricing details of the all-new 2019 Z4, which is now available
to dealerships across the country. The new roadster is available in
four-cylinder sDrive 20i and sDrive 30i guise as well as the inline-six-powered
M40i.
Base sDrive 20i
models are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine producing 194 hp and 320 Nm of peak torque. BMW claims a 0-100 km/h in 6.6
seconds and a 240 km/h top speed. In the sDrive 30i, the 2.0-liter
unit makes 255 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The added grunt drops
the 0-100 km/h time down to 5.4 seconds while top speed is set at 250 km/h.
Finally, the
range-topping M40i is using the turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six tuned to
produce 335 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The fastest Z4 can do the 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.5 seconds, while top speed is still limited to 250 km/h. All engine options are paired to an eight-speed automatic
transmission that also features a Launch Control function. The Z4 M40i’s unit
also comes with an M specific software for an even sportier feeling.
The new BMW Live
Cockpit Professional that combines a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with
a 10.25-inch infotainment display is fitted as standard in the new Z4 Roadster.
The system also features a hard drive-based multimedia system, two USB ports,
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Safety systems like
Collision Warning, Pedestrian Warning with City Braking and Lane Departure
Warning are fitted as standard. Customers can also opt for Adaptive Cruise
Control with Stop & Go, Lane Change Warning, Rear Collision Prevention and
Cross-Traffic Alert among others. Prices for the new 2019 BMW Z4 start from
£ 36,990 for the sDrive 20i model. The mid-range sDrive 30i is priced from
£ 40,690 while the range-topping M40i will set you back at least £ 49,050.
