The RUF GT has just premiered at the Geneva Motor
Show as a spruced-up version of the 991.2-generation Porsche 911 GTS. Power for the RUF GT comes from a
twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six pumping out 515 hp and 645 Nm,
giving the car 911 GT3 levels of grunt. By comparison, a road-going 911 GT3
delivers 493 hp and 460 Nm.
In a straight-line, the RUF GT can reach 100
km/h in a brisk 3.4 seconds compared to the 3.5 seconds required by a GTS. The
tuned car’s 320 km/h top speed also edges out the stock GTS’ 308 km/h.
RUF has kept the styling alterations made to the
sports car at a minimum. At the front, for example, changes are limited to a
new bumper with circular air intakes. There’s also a distinctive rear bumper,
carbon fiber rear diffuser, and a twin tailpipe design. Customers can also choose
between a ducktail spoiler and a fixed wing, and a set of five-spoke wheels
complete the modifications.
The GT isn’t the only car the German tuner has
brought to Geneva. Also sitting at the company’s stand is the production
version of the GTR Anniversary, a homage to the iconic Yellowbird. That
particular model uses a bespoke carbon fiber chassis and pumps out 710 hp.
