By delivering the
100th Mono, Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) celebrated an important milestone
in its relatively short, 10-year history. The car was bought by the Strojer
Samlingen museum in Denmark, which already has it on display alongside other
unique vehicles. The collection includes James Bond movie cars, models owned by
the Danish royal family and a selection of Bugattis, Koenigseggs, McLarens,
Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Aston Martins, Porsches and others.
Produced at the
brand’s Liverpool factory at the beginning of March, the 100th BAC Mono is
finished in British racing green and has visible carbon bodywork and golden
decals and trim. The ‘Chassis 100’ golden plaque is visible on the seat, while
the rest of the interior has a black look with golden stitching.
The Mono is powered
by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that delivers 301 hp and 308 Nm of torque. It may not sound like much, but it tips the scales at
580 kg, so it has a power-to-weight ratio of 518 hp per ton. The 0 to 96 km/h acceleration takes 2.8
seconds and top speed is 274 km/h, while its track-focused design
makes it a real weapon.
