BMW Group Indonesia
officially launched the third generation Z4. The newest roadster paved at the
Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2019, on Thursday at
JIExpo, Jakarta. The sport sedan is available in all BMW
sales networks on April 26, 2019 and is priced at IDR 1,459 million excluding
tax, aka off the road.
The launch of the
Z4 at the same time precedes the new Toyota Supra which will launch at the end
of 2019 in Indonesia. BMW and Toyota are collaborating on Z4 and Supra projects
using the same platform. "This car is a sedan dreamed of by everyone. Now
it has a different look from the previous generation," said President
Director of BMW Group Indonesia Ramesh Divyanathan.
Dimensionally, this
roadster is 85 mm longer than its predecessor or now 4,324 mm, 74 mm wider
(1,864 mm) and 13 mm taller (1,304 mm). Shorter wheelbase of 26 mm to 2,470 mm,
serves to sharpen control. While the
design of the bonnet is integrated with fenders, the side lines to the rear
lights are made sharper. The second character line appears from the big Air
Breathers behind the front fender.
The spoiler is
integrated with the trunk door and slim lights arranged horizontally in L
shape. Entering the interior, sporting aura is so kendal especially the seats,
until the ergonomic control buttons focus more on the driving experience.
Furthermore, the BMW Operating System 7.0 has a sophisticated digital design
and is directed closer to the driver's personal needs to control attention
optimally.
Under the hood,
there is four cylinder petrol engine with a 1998 cc with BMW TwinPower Turbo
technology. The engine is capable of producing 258 tk of power and a maximum
torque of 400 Nm. The engine is combined with the Steptronic 8-Acceleration
transmission. Through the heart of the pacemaker, the latest Z4 is claimed to
have shot 0 to 100 km / h in just 5.4 seconds. Fuel consumption of 15.4 km / l
(ECE cycle) and CO2 emissions of 149 g / km is impressive evidence of the
external efficiency of a roadster.
