When it launches, the second-generation Tesla
Roadster won’t just be the fastest car produced by the electric car
manufacturer, but it also promises to be one of the quickest cars on the planet
– period. However, what if Tesla decided to build something even wilder,
perhaps a hypercar to rival something like the Aston Martin Valkyrie? Could it
look something like this?
This creation comes from designer Jeroen Claus and
is dubbed the Olympus Max by Tesla. The vehicle’s design is based around that
of the Valkyrie, hence why you may recognize some parts. The front of the Olympus Max
includes a front fascia and headlight design similar in character to existing
Tesla models, even though the carbon fiber splitter of the Valkyrie has been
maintained. The sides of the concept also share many parts with the Valkyrie,
but Claus did redesign the doors while also playing around with some of the
carbon fiber aerodynamic elements.
One of the most obvious points of different between
the Olympus Max and the Valkyrie is the inclusion of a large fin running down
the center of the hypercar’s decklid. The car also includes a custom rear with
an LED light bar stretching between the two prominent rear wheel arches. Inside, you will notice a
steering wheel that incorporates a floating display and, fittingly for a Tesla,
a large vertical infotainment screen in the center of the dash.
The most performance-focused Tesla we know about is
a version of the Roadster which will feature rocket thrusters from Space X. It
may not look as crazy as the car presented, but it definitely sounds bonkers.
