Hero MotoCorp is celebrating 25 years of its iconic
Splendor brand with the launch of the Splendor+ 25 Year Special Edition. The
celebratory model costs INR 55,856 (ex-showroom Jamshedpur) and has started to
arrive at the dealerships. The regular model, for reference, in the self start
drum brake alloy wheel i3s configuration, retails at INR 54,856 (ex-showroom
Jamshedpur).
The Hero Splendor+ 25 Years Special Edition comes
with unique graphics and 3D emblems across the body. Its visor features a “Hero
Splendor+ 25 Years Special Edition” sticker along with new graphics on either
side. The fuel tank carries a 3D Hero logo, while the side panels feature
“Splendor+” and “25 Years Special Edition” 3D tags. An i3S (Idle Start Stop
System) sticker occupies the space on the rear panel. Special edition graphics
are seen on the fuel tank, side and rear panels. A USB charger has been
installed on the handlebar, and it has a lid to cover the USB port in case of
rains.
The Hero Splendor+ 25 Years Special Edition has the
same specifications as the regular model. It is powered by a 97.2 cc
air-cooled, single-cylinder OHC engine that delivers 8.36 PS of max power at
8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a
four-speed, constant mesh gearbox. The motorcycle comes with a Kick and
Self-start system. Stopping power comes from 130 mm drum brakes on both wheels
while the safety net includes Hero MotoCorp's CBS tech, Integrated Braking
System as standard.
Like the regular model, the special edition model
rides on alloy wheels. However, its wheels have a black finish for distinctive
styling. The suspension department uses telescopic hydraulic and swing arm with
5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and rear respectively. Hero MotoCorp should make an
official announcement on the Splendor+ 25 Year Special Edition soon.
