All pickup trucks look better with a lift kit and
massive off-road tires, and the Isuzu D-Max is no exception, hence its £ 45,000
(US$ 58,500) price tag for the UK. Check out the new
Isuzu D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 Safir, a limited edition model of which only 10
vehicles will be made. Unveiled at the 2019 Commercial Vehicle Show in
Birmingham, UK, the Safir is an exclusive D-Max based on the Isuzu D-Max Arctic
Trucks AT35 Double Cab Automatic.
Each of the 10 examples features a Sapphire Blue
Mica paint finish that served as inspiration for the pickup’s name. Other
unique exterior mods include the silver rear sports bar, silver Mountain Top
roller cover, bespoke Safir branded aluminum under guard, as well as the
17-inch x 10-inch AT alloy wheels in a new Hyper Dark diamond-cut finish shod
with off-road tires.
Isuzu has also equipped the Safir
truck with two sets of LED Lazer Lights. A lower set is positioned in the front
bumper while a roof light bar is brand-new for the D-Max range.
The interior received its fair share of attention
too, gaining bespoke leather seats with sapphire blue stitching and Arctic
Trucks logo embroidered on the headrests, as well as a D-shaped sports steering
wheel wrapped in the same leather and suede. The limited edition Isuzu D-Max
also comes with upgraded audio equipment, consisting of a 9-inch Multifunction
Color Touchscreen (with Arctic Trucks logo), nine speakers, subwoofer and HDMI
Port.
Other features include a wireless charger fitted in
the top glove box and a front camera mounted on the front bumper to monitor the
area in front of the truck that would normally be in the driver’s blind spot.
