Maruti Suzuki today launched the Vitara Brezza
Sports Limited Edition, which is basically an accessorised Vitara Brezza. The
Sports Limited Edition model can be purchased in any of the existing grades for
an additional cost of INR 29,990. For reference, the prices of the regular
model range from INR 7,67,742-10,42,742*.
The Sports Limited Edition package includes a wide
range of accessories including new seat covers, designer mats, slide cladding,
body graphics, front and rear garnish, leather steering cover, door sill-guard,
wheel arch kit, neck cushion and more. Existing Vitara Brezza customers can
also equip their SUV with this accessory package.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza is powered by the
soon-to-be-phased-out D13A 1.3-litre DDiS 200 engine which churns out 89.7 PS at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of peak torque at 1,750 rpm. 5-speed manual
and 5-speed automated manual are the transmission choices. FWD drivetrain
layout is standard across the range.
By March 2020, the D13A 1.3L DDiS 200 diesel engine
will likely be replaced with the K15B 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine
from the Maruti Ciaz and Maruti Ertiga. This four-cylinder mill produces 104.69 PS)6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. Whether a mild-hybrid
system will be offered or not remains to be seen. The 5-speed AMT could be
replaced by a 4-speed AT.
