The Tata Tiago and Tata Tiago NRG will get a
facelift by the middle of June this year, as per a new report from Autocar
India. On the outside, both the cars will have refreshed looks. Their new
front fascia will be inspired by that of the upcoming Tata Altroz. LED daytime
running lights, a more aggressive radiator grille and a restyled bumper are
among the changes expected at the front. At the rear, the tail lamps may have
tweaked graphics. On the sides, one can expect new 15-inch alloy wheels on the
new Tata Tiago.
Inside, the Tata Tiago NRG will gain the 7.0-inch
touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
connectivity from the regular Tata Tiago's XZ+ grade. Changes brought with the
minor model change may include fresh trim colours and upholstery as well. To
comply with the upcoming safety and crash test regulations which will come into
effect on 1 July 2019, new safety features will be introduced throughout the
Tiago variants, these features will be rear parking sensors, a driver’s side
airbag, ABS and a speed warning system.
To meet the AIS-145 safety norms that come into
effect on 1 July 2019, both new Tata Tiago and new Tata Tiago NRG will offer a
more comprehensive safety suite as standard. Driver airbag, speed alert system,
reverse parking sensors, driver and front passenger SBR, manual override for
the central locking system and ABS will be standard in both the facelifted
cars.
