Shortly after Porsche announced pricing for the new
911 Speedster and opened pre-orders for the sports car, the online configurator
for this stunning piece of machinery has been released.
Porsche will sell the Speedster in a standard color
palette of Racing Yellow, Guards Red, Black, and White. There are then four
metallic options available, namely Carrara White Metallic, Jet Black Metallic,
Agate Grey Metallic, and GT Silver Metallic. Five special colors are also
offered. These are Carmine Red, Crayon, Lava Orange, Miami Blue, and Lizard
Green. Buyers then have the option of choosing from the extensive Paint to
Sample program for extra special paint finishes.
The 911 Speedster is only available with the 20-inch
wheels of the 911 GT3, available in black or silver. Moving to the cabin and
our favorite configuration consists of a mixture of black leather and Cognac
leather. It looks exceptionally classy and suits the Speedster bodystyle of the
vehicle absolutely perfectly.
The seats on offer are the full bucket units or
instead, Adaptive Sports seats with 18-way adjustment. Exterior options are
aplenty and include painted side skirts, black door handles, carbon fiber wing
mirrors and the window triangle trims finished in carbon. The car also has the
option of a front-axle lift system and an enlarged 90-liter fuel tank. If you
thought the exterior options were extensive, just wait until you see what’s on
offer for the cabin.
There is available two-zone automatic climate
control, seat heating, a smoking package, available floor mats, fire
extinguisher, painted air vents, and seats belts finished in either Guards Red,
Racing Yellow, Silver Grey, or Miami Blue.
Prices for the car start at Us$ 274,500 but quickly rise once you start selecting some options.
