Yesterday, Suzuki launched the Gixxer SF 250 and the
updated Gixxer SF (155) in India at INR 1,70,655* and INR 1,09,870*
respectively. The company also announced a few optional accessories for these
new models that will be available at its showrooms.
The list of optional accessories for the Suzuki
Gixxer SF 250 and new Suzuki Gixxer SF include:
- Tank Protector
- Tank Graphic
- Rim Stickers
- DC Socket
- Seat Cover
- Smoked Visor
All accessories shown individually in the image gallery
at the end of the story. Some of the accessories such as the smoked visor and the rim
stickers, for instance, are aimed at making the motorcycles look sportier,
while the DC socket is for more convenience. All the accessories mentioned
above can be installed on both, the Gixxer SF 250 and the new Gixxer SF. Suzuki
has not listed the prices of the accessories on its website.
To give you a quick recap about the motorcycles, the
Gixxer SF 250 is Suzuki’s second attempt to compete in the 250 cc segment of
the Indian market after the Inazuma 250. The new quarter-litre motorcycle draws
power from a 249 cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, SOHC, fuel-injected engine that
features Suzuki Oil Cooling System. The motor churns out 26.5 PS at 9,000 rpm
and 22.6 Nm at 7,500 rpm.
Suzuki Motorcycle India officials have confirmed
that the Gixxer SF 250 will be joined by the Gixxer 250 naked roadster in the
coming months. While the exact launch timeline is not available, we expect the
naked roadster to arrive ahead of the festive season, along with the new Gixxer
155 (facelift).
The Suzuki Gixxer SF has received a massive visual
overhaul. Mechanical specifications have been revised to bring the motor
one-step closer to the BS-VI standards. The 154.9 cc single-cylinder,
air-cooled, 2-valve, SOHC engine with fuel-injection makes 14.1 PS of max power
at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. In comparison, its
predecessor made 14.8 PS of power.
