Renault India has
been testing the refreshed Duster for quite a while now. In the latest update,
the exterior, as well as the interior, of the 2020 Renault Duster has been
revealed through a set of spy images from Throttle-Blips.
The 2020 Renault
Duster gets updated with an all-new steering wheel, which gets faux aluminium
accents. The new unit could be even seen on the Renault Triber. It also
features buttons for cruise control at the front, while control buttons for
volume and other audio control functions are added only to the back, as seen on
the out-going Duster.
The dashboard
layout reminds of the current model but features a number of small updates,
such as the use of faux aluminium trim, chrome and piano black bits, along with
new interior colours which make the cabin feel fresher than before. The
circular central AC vents have made way for rectangular units, while corner
ones retain their circular shape, albeit, with faux brushed aluminium
surrounds. The instrument panel remains unchanged, and uses chrome outline.
Another big update comes in the form of a new infotainment system that supports
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On the outside, the
2020 Renault Duster features some prominent updates in the form of reworked
front styling, an all-new grille, slightly altered headlamps with LED DRLs and
projector headlamps, and a new and chunkier front bumper. Other exterior
updates include new roof rails, new alloy wheels and additional black plastic
cladding on the tailgate. The revised hood and the reworked front-end helps the
SUV comply with the upcoming stricter crash and pedestrian safety norms.
Reportedly, the
2020 Renault Duster (facelift) will be powered by a BS-VI compliant 110 PS,
1.5-litre K9K diesel engine, while the 85 PS version will be taken off the
shelves. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and AMT units. Also
on offer will be a BS-VI-compliant 1.5-litre petrol engine that will be
available with a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT.
